Install and Download DOCMan with the Joomla! Software Installer

DOCman is a document management and download system for Joomla! Upload and manage files across multiple categories and make them available for download on Joomla! websites.

DOCman Main features:

• Unlimited categories and subcategories.
• Host files on remote server or locally
• Access control: Assign documents to custom group of users or to specific users.
• Download counter and log. Display a log and download counter and log all downloads.
• Search system. Search documents by description and/or name.
• Anti-leech system. The built-in anti-leech system avoids direct linking to documents;
• Path protection. Real paths to documents are never displayed to users
• Themes: Use your custom theme and layout.

A requirement of the DOCman setup files on some systems is that the root of your Joomla! install be "world writable" (0777 or owner by the web server). Errors result if this condition is not met. Once the extension is installed, however, it works well.
