Here is a beta build of the 1.5.1 version of the installer:

Simply follow the instructions:

It has removed the dependence on posix as well as suppressed bogus xml warnings, and has been tested locally. Each server is setup differently, so please test then post your findings here.

If all is good, I will officially release. If not, we'll apply more fixes and post another beta.

I have tested this beta updater. The plugin itself installs successfully.

Tried installing each of the softwares and two of which have problems. It just shows blank page after pressing install.

here are the software:

"Virtuemart shopping cart (single install)"

"YVComment - Article commenting Solution"

both have the same problem on installation.

So far so good, however I noticed that in this version Google AQ something or other is missing. On some of the other sites I have built and used this that item was available which I really liked. Cannot find it on the developers web site anywhere

Just read your email, I have just pulled down my testing site,as I thought I wouldn't need it more. I will put up another some time in the next day or two and get back to you about it.

Regarding Google AQ, there is a post on the forum late this afternoon which explains what is up with that software. Apparently, the developer no longer supports or sells. Perhaps, if there is enough interest, Intellispire can contact the developer and take over maintenance on the project.

Going back to my message earlier about the issue with two softwares:

Tried re-installed it today and works perfectly now.
